Antique oil lamp - Satsuma - gilt bronze, glass, porcelain - Japan - early 20th century.
Antique table oil lamp - the body of the lamp is made of an authentic Satsuma vase in cream colour with cracks (see details in the photos) - painted entirely by hand with the main pattern of a crane with red head, floral patterns, butterflies and points in relief - beautiful, tooled bronze pedestal - the urn is probably from the 18th century and was made into a lamp at a later date, in the second half of the 19th century.
Perfectly preserved, no damage, no restorations, beautiful bright colours - the glass is part of the lot.
Measurements: Lamp height: 54 cm, base diameter: 17 cm, total base height including bronze pedestal: 34 cm, height of just vase: 17 cm.
