This beautiful engraving of a painting by Valerius De Saedeleer, was on a wall in my uncle’s salon for 64 years. It was made in the famous studios Hebbelinck and printed at Dietrich & Co. In Brussels. It illustrates a cherished theme of the popular painter: a snowy landscape in East Flanders (region around Oudenaarde), with his typical slender dark trees. There were 350 copies printed, this one has the number 235. The signature of De Saedeleer crosses the engraving and the lower paper sheet. The work is original and was deliberately left in its original state. Some imperfections on the frame are (little) visible. An almost invisible little fold in the snow plane. All this does not affect the beauty of the work. Very nice & valuable work that will be sent carefully and well protected via a reliable courier.
