Germany - Air Force - cockpit clock Luftwaffe BO-UK1 FL23885, first model. - 1938

This is an early execution of the well-known German cockpit clock also called Blindflieguhr. The movement is a Junghans J30BZ. Luftwaffe BO-UK1 FL23885. Height: 7.5 cm, W 6 cm, D 3 cm This one still has a lot of brass/copper parts, the later war versions no longer had that due to lack of material. The whole is still in very good condition and the movement is excellent, all functions still work perfectly. This model has a lever to adjust, which is done by pulling up the wind button, This model is very rare because these early executions have been lost with their airplanes during the course of the war, as opposed to the later war executions. These clocks were installed in various German aircraft during the war, especially in German fighter planes such as the Messerschmidt Bf 109E, Focke-Wulf Fw-190, Junkers Ju-87, or Stuka and the ME262. They were called Blindflieguhren because you could use them to plan your course at night.
