KORALL bowl by Pukeberg, designed by Uno Westerberg. The ‘Korall’ series is also called the ‘shattered glass design’. Glass items from this series have an icy, smooth finish on the top, irregular, a grainy texture on the bottom and have irregular wavy edges. Swedish designer Uno Westerberg (1914-1985) studied interior design, though is remembered as one of the most productive glass designers at Pukeberg Glassworks, where he worked from 1950 through 1981. He became artistic director of Pukeberg in 1975 and his designs such as 'Korall', 'Stratos' and 'Ulla' account for the largest part of the production and took care of the ongoing success of the factory.
