Louis Kalff - Philips - Table lamp (1) - NB100 Reissue

A retro remake of Louis Kalff's iconic NB 100 desk lamp. Louis Kalff was a pioneer of industrial design and is a famous lighting architect. He has worked for Philips' marketing department since 1925, where he was quickly moved to a leading position. At the 1958 universal exhibition in Brussels, he worked on the Philips Pavilion with French architect Le Corbusier. The modernist spirit of Le Corbusier can be recognized in the NB100 conception. Modern techniques combined with an over 60 years-old legendary design, which still looks modern today. The NB100 is a wonderful desk lamp which combines the rounded shapes of the metal wire frame with the simple and neat lines of the lampshade. At Philips they decided that this lamp deserved to be revived. The lamp has now an LED light bulb, with soft touch switch. Simply place your finger on the round point under the bulb to turn the light on. Holding your finger pressed on the same spot, you can dim or intensify the brightness. The lamp comes complete with original box and instructions. The lampshade id in a very light shade of gray, almost white. The lamp is as good as new (it has only been tried and never used). Dimensions: - Width 34 - Depth 34 - Height 40
