Maurice Paris, born in 1903, died in 1969, was a painter from the Manche region. Golden medal + landscapist awards. Member of the committee and jury of the Salon des Artistes Français. His workshop was located in Avranches since 1934. He painted the Mont Saint-Michel Bay, its kelp pickers, its fishermen on foot. His works are regularly sold in Bayeux during the sale of Normandy painters. He is featured in the book ‘Peinture et sculpture dans la Manche du XIXe siècle à nos jours’, O.D.A.C. Some of his works are exhibited in the Museum of Avranches. Painting size: 46 x 38 cm. In very good condition, robust canvas, unvarnished painting.
