Painting oil on canvas, signed at the bottom right with Fuzesi L. Lajos Fuzesi is a well-known Hungarian-American painter (1931-2008). He studied at the Royal Art Academy in Budapest with a scholarship and abroad with Frank Gebhard in Düsseldorf. He received many awards and was chosen at the Academy of the Society of Art. Fuzesi was a contemporary and friend of the Hungarian master Pal Fried, who also painted similar subjects. He is best known for his well-painted, evocative, modern-retro female subjects, with themes ranging from young women, ballerinas or nudes.
