Banksy x Love Welcomes - Welcome Mat

Banksy Welcome Mat, from the artists incredible ‘Gross Domestic Product’ installation/project in Croydon, London, 2019. These mats were released in an edition of 500 during the first hour that the Gross Domestic product went live on 16th October 2019, and unsurprisingly completely sold out. A further set of 500 mats have since been released, however these are yet to ship. This mat is from the first edition of 500, and is numbered in the low hundreds (2**). A fantastic opportunity to own one of the standout rare items from Banksy’s Gross Domestic Product show. “The mat is hand-stitched using the fabric from life vests abandoned on the Mediterranean beaches. The mats were designed by the world-renowned artist, Banksy and fabricated in Greek refugee camps. All mats have a Gross Domestic Product official label attached.” The mats were made in collaboration with the charity Love Welcomes. Banksy recently released the below message through ‘Love Welcomes regarding the mats: “Your mat is a hand made piece of art and should ideally be used for display purposes only. We would advise against walking on it extensively or rubbing dirty boots on it repeatedly. Avoid vacuuming and clean gently using a canister of pressured air.” Original packaging and invoice / receipt will be included. Please note - the last 2 photos are of the mat displayed at Banksy’s pop up store, Gross Domestic Product, in Croydon London. The information card shown was displayed alongside the mat, and is for information purposes only. Will be packaged professionally and shipped with full insurance.
