Beautiful antique French early 18th century fireplace Crémaillère.
A Crémaillère is a fireplace accessory that hangs in the fireplace on a horizontal beam that is attached in a chimney.
The crémaillère that on the one hand serves to hang a pot by preventing it from making direct contact with fire,
and on the other hand by adjusting the distance of the pot with the fire.
Until the nineteenth century it was an essential object in every house.
