A large, heavy and very beautiful sculpture of Christ depicted with a crown of thorns. The work is extremely detailed and refined by the sculptor Richard Aurili (1834-1914). Aurili was an Italian sculptor who worked mainly from Belgium and France. The sculpture has a bronze look but is made of plaster that features a green brown patina. It is also mounted on a marble base. Details: Height: 52 cm. Width: 24 cm. Depth: 16 cm. Weight: 12.7 kg. Dating: early 20th century Origin: France. It is signed R. Aurili and numbered 908 It only has a tiny flake in the pedestal but this hardly stands out. It is also in very good condition, the pictures speak for themselves. A decorative sculpture! It will be carefully packaged and sent by registered mail (insured with track & trace).
