This very rare bottle of Cheval Blanc 1947 (Vandermeulen bottling) has been in our family since the '70's. Vandermeulen was based in Ostend and was an esteemed bottler. My family is also from Ostend. The bottle was a gift for many years of duty as a concierge.
The fill level is very top shoulder and the label is still readable.
The wine was kept in a living-room for decades, nobody was aloud to touch it.
We hope it finds a new caring home.
