The constant evolution in the world of wine, and the fantastic, passionate people who work in the trade, are what makes it so interesting for me. And the wine too, of course!
Daniel discovered his fascination for wine and spirits while traveling through Europe. When he found himself in the vineyard areas of France, Italy and Spain, he knew he’d found something special. Back in the UK in 2008, he went on to complete his degree (FDA) in Wine Business Studies and Vinification graduating in 2010. Degree in hand, Daniel has since pursued his passion working in wineries across some of the most famous wine-producing regions. More recently he’s worked for a number of online wine and spirits retailers, and for Decanter Wine Magazine, the leading international wine publication organising tastings around the world. Daniel joined Catawiki in 2016 and now heads up our team of wine and whisky experts. He loves the camaraderie, the passion people have for their specialities and the strong team and work ethos found at Catawiki. Aside from running the wine and whisky teams, Daniel continues to hone his knowledge working across the exclusive wine auctions – he’s dedicated to curating the very best auctions possible for buyers and sellers, every week.
