Gaspare Bisceglia (1880-?) - Fonderia artistica Laganà - Sculpture, Dancing player (1) - Bronze (patinated) - First half 20th century
Bronze sculpture signed “Bisceglia”, made at the Laganà foundry.
Height only bronze without marble base 22.5
The sculpture represents a young boy who plays cymbals. It looks like a mythological style figure, it even has a tail.
Accurate artistic manufacture especially on the belly, chest, feet and back. It also has a nice and elegant glossy black patina.
In good overall condition, as per photos. The marble base shows some chips and the left foot has a slight casting flaw, a cut of about 1 cm that can be made less noticeable by dabbing with some putty wax.
