Large silver Touareg cross/ brooch, was used as a powerful compass to guide the Tuareg through the Sahara.
Originally this was a Touareg cross pendant and was later made into a brooch.
Ancient agades Silver Cross amulet from the Tuaregs of Northern Niger. Authentic, original Tuareg piece.
The compass cross also called Agadez cross.
Length, including eyelet, 77.1 mm.
Width 43.2 mm.
No hallmarks, but it is tested on silver.
