Charming gallant couple in polychrome porcelain biscuit made by the French manufactory of Pierre-Henry Mauger and Louis-Denis Letu, located in Isle-Adam in the Val-d'Oise, circa 1860-1870. Both characters have the AM intaglio mark for Association Mauger. This factory was founded in 1854 by Mauger. Around 1860, he formed a partnership with Letu. They both participated in the London Exhibition in 1862 to present their productions. In excellent preserved condition and without any restoration. Height: 36.5. Base diameter: 14.5. Weight: 4 kg
