Special beautiful and rare antique steam whistle in good condition. This steam whistle was used on an old Rhine tug in the late 19th century/early 20th century. Unfortunately, it is not known which one that was. On the bronze base there is a mark. Looks like a D. The connoisseur will no doubt know what this means. The steam whistle has a nice patina and the operation is still good. I estimate it dates back to the late 19th century. But it could be from the early 20th century. At least 100 years or older. The connoisseur will undoubtedly know. Many photos have been added so that the whistle is easy to asses. The photos are part of the description.
