Already as a child, he was introduced to the nudist movement. Dissertation in Political Science. After the war, he turned to nude photography, or better the photography of the “Freikörperkultur” (free body culture) movement. He particularly photographed his family and friends in the spirit of the natural and reformed free-body culture. He published in many magazines. At the end of 1950 to 1965 he became editor of the magazine "Helios" - independent monthly magazine for natural life culture. It was published in collaboration with the Adolf Koch Institute in Berlin. Considered to be the most important magazine of the post-war period, which continues the ideas of the free body culture of the 1920s. Vintage photos by Arthur Schultze-Naumburg are rarely found.

Dr. Arthur Schultze-Naumburg came from a well-known Northern German family.
