Beautiful 17th century Dutch wine bottle in excellent condition (1) - Glass
Fantastic, very old dark-green glass wine bottle, Holland, 17th century. The artisanal character of the bottle is enhanced by the imperfections in the shape of the belly, the placement of the neck and the extremely many air bubbles in the glass. The kick of the bottle (the "sphere" at the bottom of a wine bottle) is extremely deep: it almost reaches the neck of the bottle, which contributes even more to the artisanal character of the bottle..
The bottle has a conical neck with an irregular lip, an extremely deep kick and a pronounced pontil mark. A pontil mark is a rough spot on a blown glass object where the pontil rod (the metal rod on which the glass sits) is broken off.
The bottle is in excellent condition. There's not a single chip or star in the bottle. The bottle’s neck is also completely intact.
