The instrument is in ready to play condition with some minor tears and wears to the varnish of deep brown color. The violin has an excellent medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple. The purfling is professionally executed and the edges are masterfully done. The whole length of the violin is 58,8 cm and the back 35,7 cm. The sound of this instrument is of a charming character, rich, warm, sweet and beautiful colors, depth and great carrying power.
