Lounge Chair with ottoman design by Charles and Ray Eames and produced by ICF Italy. This armchair was bought by my parents around the 1970s for a holiday home. In Italy ICF held the licence from Herman Miller to produce this design for around 10 years before Vitra became the sole European manufacturer. This model is an early example of ICF productions. Cushions are professionaly fixed from the ICF manufacturer to the panels with velcro strips. On the cushions the velcro strips are professionally sewn on the back. Probably at the origin Icf didn't have to follow the original specifications so probably did what they liked. The chair features beautiful original black leather with no tears or breaks. Perfect rosewood veneered plywood shells. Polished aluminium base and back supports with rubber spacers as per the early production chairs. Embossed model numbers to the base and original ICF labels . A very rare and eyecatching incarnation of this beautiful design classic. Excellent condition: barely used with minimal signs of wear
