Factory 5 - Type 65 Shelby Cobra Daytona Tribute - NO RESERVE - 1966

1966 Shelby Cobra Daytona FFR (Factory Five). This Shelby Daytona was produced by Factory five, one of the best Cobra and Daytona manufacturers in the world. Assembled in 2004 by Nor'East Cobra, a specialised company. Has only been driven 8,038 miles (approx. 12,800 km). Original bodywork that has never been damaged. Painted in classic "Guardsman Blue/Wimbledon White", which has just been professionally polished. Presents signs of use that are typical for this type of car; see photos. The V8 351W engine registered 430 HP on the Engine Dyno Test and 354 HP on a Chassis Dyno Test. The Dyno test results are present with the car (see photo). See the data sheet for the full mechanical specifications. In addition, a complete overhaul of the brake system was completed, with a new brake master cylinder. The steering box was also overhauled, and all work was done with invoices and warranties. This car has incredible power, brutal acceleration, the stability you would expect from a sports car, and a roaring sound out of the side exhaust pipes. The interior has modern, well-functioning air conditioning, the entire electrical system is in working order, the seats are leather with 4-point harness belts, the safety roll cage is certified and padded, the dashboard is perfect, and the headliner is new. The chassis has never been damaged or repaired and still has the original factory paint. It is built like the original with round and quadrilateral exhaust pipes, like a racing car. The car is properly registered in Europe (Germany) as a unique one-off version vintage car from 1966. It passed the TUV technical inspection in June 2022 and is valid until June 2024; no technical defects were found. The previous inspection in 2020, which expired in 2022, had also passed with no technical defects found. See photos. It is very difficult to obtain these documents nowadays, with the year of the original car (1966), and even if you can find them in the USA, it is very difficult to register them in Europe. This Daytona, on the other hand, was built by a specialised establishment and was, therefore, suitable. In order to register the vehicle in other countries or in Italy, a TUV Technical Data Sheet (COC) is provided (see photo). --> SPECIAL PROMOTION: 5% discounted purchase commission (instead of 9%). Some videos of the car, engine, and road driving are available. A high-resolution photo gallery is also available and is part of this description, on the seller’s website. Please ask Catawiki. Bidders are also welcome to view and test the vehicle, which is located in Quarrata 51039 (PT), Italy.
