Yamazakura Rare Old Whisky 250th Anniversary - one of 100 - 700ml

Flask number 77 out of 100 (I had the honor of choosing this particular lucky number) The jewel from Japan for the 250th anniversary in 2015 of the Sasano Kawa distillery: Yamazakura Rare Old Whisky - A unique piece of time and craftsmanship Category: Blended Malt Distillery: Sasano Kawa Shuzo Bottler: Distillery Bottling Bottling series: 250th Anniversary Bottled: 2015 Cask type: Ex-Maker's Mark Bourbon Barrel Number of bottles: 100 Strength: 56.0 % Vol. Size: 700 ml Market: Japan Hand-blown decanter and inscription chiseled into the glass by hand - an absolute top rarity of a very valuable craftsmanship. Incredibly beautiful and crystal clear bottle. Dive into the breathtaking world of Yamazakura Rare Old Whisky, presenting a spectacular mystery in an equally spectacular hand-blown bottle. Before 1985, Yamazakura brought first-class bourbon barrels from Kentucky to Japan. The whisky, which had already been stored in the barrels for 10-15 years at the time, was decanted and forgotten over the decades. So, the whisky was distilled between 1970 and 1975 in Kentucky. Fortunately, this valuable drop was rediscovered in time in the years after the turn of the millennium and was given a few more years in specially acquired Maker's Mark barrels. To express the appreciation for this critically endangered liquid, 100 individually made glass bottles were commissioned from the legendary Japanese glassblower Komure Takahito. This delicacy was eventually bottled in 2015, just in time for Yamazakura's 250th anniversary. This exquisite whisky, aged in bourbon barrels and rumored to have also received a sherry finish, and having an alcohol content of 56% ABV, originates from the quiet springs of the Sasano River. Despite the mystery about its exact origin and storage, the real secret lies in the blend of different whiskies to create the incomparable end product. And although the master distiller also placed great value on the bottle and the wooden packaging, it is the fine details and the exceptional quality of the whisky that make this Yamazakura Rare Old a real gem. The unique flavors of this Yamazakura Rare Old, which come from the careful blend of 40-year-old bourbon, meet the exquisite design of a hand-blown bottle - for every ten bottles produced there is only one perfect one. This is a unique opportunity to own a bottle made for the 250th anniversary of Sasano River Sake Brewing - an absolute collector's dream. Sale only to adults. Shipment only insured. This is a genuine original from Japan that I acquired years ago in Japan. #dreambar #MostWantedWineWhisky
