Six (Hexaptych) japanese woodblock prints from the series Chiyoda no on-omote zen (Complete Chiyoda Outer Palace) from Toyohara Yoshu Chikanobu (1838 - 1912). This scene is called 'Chiyoda no On-omote Mokuroku' (feudal lord procession).
The first 3 panels have a protective backing. The last 3 are without a protective backing.
Dimensions: each sheet: 35,3 cm x 33,8 cm
The 3 unbacked panels are slightly larger.

The series Chiyoda no on-omote consist of 33 designs including the title page. It was published in 1897 by Fukuda Hatsujiro. The series shows scenes from around the outside walls of Chiyoda Palace in Edo.
