Hinomaru Yosegaki Flag 日の丸 寄せ書き Size: 57×74 cm This is a rare old flag. During World War II, the Japanese created this flag to send soldiers off to war. The words written here are words of support for soldiers going to the battlefield and names of supporters. The material of this flag is silk with a luxurious feel. These are old and have many areas that are stains and rubbing. Please look at the pictures and understand. The Japanese words "武運長久BUUN-CHOUKIYU" can be seen. That mean "continued luck in the fortunes of war". These words are typical of prayers to soldiers during wartime. I will contact you individually with the information written if you wish.
