A marked, high-quality Japanese (Gifu Prefecture) Mino-'yaki' brown and (so-called cucumber) green glazed 'Hiragata'-shaped sake cup ('sakazuki' / 'guinomi'), Showa (1926-1989), ca 1980s, ca 3.9 cm. high and 8.5 cm. Ø.
The base, foot ring and slightly recessed bottom unglazed, the outer wall with impressed potter's mark, in original 'kiri' wooden 'tomobako' with artist's name and inscription in black, and potter's seal mark in red, original document and cloth included, in excellent condition.
