Fine lacquer tea caddy 棗 (natsume) with a refined covering design of a weeping willow 柳 (yanagi). Executed in golden hiramaki-e 平蒔絵 (low-relief design) on a glossy black lacquer ground, with some kirigane accents along the trunk 切金 (cut and inlaid pieces of gold leaf). The interior coated with black lacquer as well, finished with golden fundame rims 粉溜地 (matt lacquer). With wooden tomobako 供箱 (storage box). In an excellent original condition. Please look a the photos for a condition reference. Dimensions: Height 7.2 cm, Diameter 6.8 cm. Period: Japan - Shôwa period (1926-1989).
