Rare 1976 Gibson Les Paul. In a state that has endured the test of time since 1976. All original. "The Les Paul Artisan was a very beautiful incarnation of the Les Paul, positioned above the better known models, Les Paul Custom, Les Paul Standard etc; and only below the very, very, expensive The Les Paul (1977-79 ) and the new active model Les Paul Artist (1979-1980). It appeared on Gibson's price lists between 1978 and the summer of 1980, but shipping totals for Les Paul Artisans indicate that a very small number ( in fact only 2) left the Gibson factory as early as 1976."
