Yamaha - TZD - 250 cc - 1977

1977 Yamaha TZD 250cc Factory Grand Prix racing motorcycle. Beautiful machine in very nice condition. This Yamaha was the machine of Giuseppe Consalvi, the Italian GP rider. Frame number 430-996438 No engine number. No registration papers, used on racetrack only. 2-stroke, water cooled. 2 cylinder. 6 speed. The Yamaha is in working condition but has stood on indoor display for about 1 year without starting. I advise new fuel/oil and service before restarting. VIDEO: https://youtu.be/4c3x80pdN_w Italo Piana was born in 1930 and I raced between the 1950's and 1970's on hillclimb circuits and road races throughout Italy and Europe. Piana won three Italian hill-climb championships in various engine capacities and competed as an official rider for Rumi, Ducati, Parilla and Itom, right up to the Yamaha Grand Prix bikes of the 1970s up for auction. During his career Piana preserved many of the old motorbikes he raced on, and particpated later in many classic events on circuits and climbs. Italo Piana also obtained no less than 46 world speed records at Monza in 1956 with Ducati. Worldwide shipping available. European transport costs are an estimate and can be cheaper per country. Attention: The motorcycle is located in Nijkerk. Netherlands. Collection in person is preferred. Catawiki works together with various transport companies who can arrange transport to your location. All transports costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
