A set of 17 very Cute Adorable and Special 張り子(Hariko)Japanese paper Noh mask-White Fox狐面, Tengo天狗, 烏天狗Karasu Tengu Hyotokoひょっとこ 大黒天 and more with excellent workmanship and vivid expression. Dimensions: 11~22cm*3~8cm*15.2~22cm Description: •Ornament Name: Noh Mask Tengu天狗, Kitsunemen狐面, •Age: Produced in Edo Period江戸,Meiji Period明治 19th-20th century •Country of origin: Japan •Condition: Used, very good condition (This is an aged noh mask. There are some stains / wear-off/ crack of paint on mask due to aging. Please refer to photos for details.) •Items included: ornament only 張り子:"Hariko" is made by pasting Japanese paper onto a mold and forming it into a three-dimensional shape. There are a variety of dolls and masks all over Japan, with Miharu papier-mâché from Fukushima prefecture and Hamamatsu papier-mâché from Shizuoka prefecture being famous. The floats at the Aomori Nebuta Festival are also made from paper mache. 狐面:Kitsunemen The fox mask is said to bring blessings such as a rich harvest, prosperous business, and safety for the family. Therefore, I think it would be better to display it higher than people's eye level so that people can keep an eye on it. 天狗:Tengu is a legendary creature that appears in Japanese folklore and is also said to be a god or a monster. It is generally said that it wears Yamabushi clothing, has a red face, has a high nose, has wings, and can fly through the air. It is said to be a monster that leads people to the path of magic, and is also called Gaiho-sama. 烏天狗:The Karasu Tengu is a legendary creature that, like the Great Tengu, wears a Yamabushi costume, has a face with a crow-like beak, and is said to be able to fly freely. Also called blue tengu [1] or small tengu.
