1964 Bodegas Campo Viejo (Rare Yellow Label - First Bottling 1969) - Rioja Reserva - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

Wine bought in Campo Viejo winery, in Logroño, Rioja, in 2010 Stored in private cellar up to today. This is a very limited edition of Campo Viejo 1964 that it was rarely placed on the market. It was labelled and launched with a different label than the regular Reserva. It comes from the first bottling of this vintage in 1969, a selection of the finest casks specially chosen by the winemakers. This prime selection, just a few thousand bottles, were labelled and then cellared in the old winery in the outskirts, La Rioja. Bottles remained in racks for 40 years. That's why the labels are a bit damaged. Vinified and matured in big wooden vats for 12 months. Racked to cask in February 1966 and then aged for 36 months. Racked 6 times, once every 6 months, using the traditional cask-to-cask Riojan method. Not filtered. Bottled directly from the barrel. Currently, it would be classified "Gran Reserva" by the Regulatory Board of Rioja. *** All international parcels are shipped with the highest standards of quality: through the premium “UPS International Express”, the fastest service against signature provided by the courier. Packed in a special wine box officially certified by UPS / DHL. Bottles are packed individually, one by one, and wrapped in a 3 layers bubble wrap. Due to the nature of the wine and the value of the products all lots are shipped with insurance coverage. ***
