Nanja has a unique background in the world of wines. At just 19 while studying abroad, she enrolled in her first wine course in Macau, China. Her natural talent for tasting and judging wines stood out right away, inspiring a lifelong journey towards excellence. It took about thirty letters to get her first job as a vineyard assistant in the Barossa Valley, Australia. With one foot in the door, she transitioned from hard work at various vineyards to organising tastings and exporting worldwide. With her developing palate, her vocabulary also expanded – having lived in The Netherlands, China, England and Australia before settling down in Spain. Multilingual and experienced across the board, Nanja epitomises a new generation of women in wine. At Catawiki, she enjoys guiding fellow enthusiasts through the digital vineyards.
