Copeland Spode blue jasperware teapot with fox hunting sprigware - Teapot (1) - Stoneware
Victorian jasperware "Fox hunt" teapot of round baluster form. Royal blue ground with fine cream-coloured sprigging depicting a detailed scene of horseback riders peering over a fence as a pack of dogs attacks the fox. The ornate foliage includes trees in the main panel, applied acanthus leaves to the lid and a flower border to the lower part of the body.
Made by Copeland Spode, England. Impressed and painted marks to base.

Very good antique condition. Small chip to the underside of the spout; tiny crack to the base of the spout; small dark mark in one spot.
