Cimier is a watchmaking house founded in 1924 by Joseph Lapanouse, in Biel, in the canton of Bern (Switzerland). This rare and valuable model from late 60's / early 70's. Vintage manual wind chronographs are one of the most desirable watches within the vintage watch world. Case: Cimier chrono-stops are available in different designs. This model has a navy blue rotating bezel on a steel case. There is a round, telemetric scale slide rule with GMT Worldtime written on the bezel; skin diver and a square more typical of motorsport. Case thickness: 13 mm Movement: Mechanical movement with manual winding Caliber: This is a one jewel R. Lapanouse movement and keeps accurate time. Technically this watch is a chronograph, however often being referred to as a "lap timer" by some. The chronograph's upper sub dial registers 45 minute increments while the lower totalizes 6 hours. 

One must manually advance the time to 12 o'clock sharp and also allow the seconds hand to reach 12, both chrono registers will now also be at "0". Pressing the bottom chrono pusher will start the second hand and the top one stop it. Dial: original panda dial is grey-black color with Arabic numerals. Internal scales: Telemetry end: Luminescent hands and indexes. Luminescent material is tritium Glass: original mica Strap: a genuine dar green strap (total: 24 cm) Dimensions Case diameter: approx. 36,5 mm (excluding crown) and 39,5 mm (including crown) Lug-to-lug: 44 mm Lug width: 18 mm Condition: This watch is in excellent condition. All parts of the watch are original except the strap and buckle. It works perfectly, keeps the time well.
