Rolex - Yacht-Master 40 - Rhodium Grey - 126622 - Men - 2011-present

Pre-owned Rolex Yacht-Master ref. 126622 with original box and papers. The Yacht-Master uses Rolesium, and this is when rugged stainless steel and ultra-precious platinum meet on a Rolex watch. The case and bracelet are made of 904L stainless steel, but the bezel of the watch is actually made completely in platinum. While both are white metals, platinum gets a completely unique sheen compared to steel and thus creates a discreet contrast. The use of platinum is also proof of the fact that this model is positioned more as a luxury sports watch. Yacht-Master dial prototypes first appeared in the 1960s. But the inaugural production model didn’t make its debut until the early 1990s. That said, the brand has been present in the world of sailing for decades. The current reference of the Rolex Yacht-Master is the Ref 126622. Debuted in 2019 from a visual standpoint it is very similar to its predecessors. One thing that did change though is the movement inside. Rolex added its upgraded Calibre 3235. Thanks to a new barrel architecture and the escapement’s superior efficiency, the power reserve of calibre 3235 extends to three days.
