Ibanez - 2801 - - Classical guitar - Japan - 1978

The 2801 is a vintage series acoustic guitar model introduced by Ibanez in 1977. It was made in Japan. The 2801 has a concert body shape with a grained spruce back and well seasoned nato sides. The sound hole is round and adorned with an elaborate multicolored marquetry wood rosette. It has a solid nato neck, a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard, and a rosewood stand. Components include an uncompensated bone saddle in a rosewood bridge, a bone nut, and a precision chrome tuner with white knobs. For 1978, the top was changed to Cedar, and the back and sides of the body and neck were changed to Mahogany.
