The fan dates (1840 -1880) “19th century”
Exported from China for the European market.
The tiny bone faces were delicately painted and applied to the paper leaf, Even the figures’ clothes have been cut from decorative silk textiles and applied onto the surface, decoration of the fan is fascinating depicting courtesans scenes on back and front side,
Dimensions: 54 cm open. 29 cm heigh
Condition: Good in general considering the age, some paper damages. Please see close pictures.
