2014 Bodegas Contador, Benjamín Romeo Colección nº 2 Parcela La Canoca - Rioja - 6 Bottles (0.75L)

Red Wine Collection Nº2 La Canoca from Bodega Contador – Benjamín Romeo, presents this red wine from the D.O.Ca Rioja, made from the Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano and Mazuelo grape varieties. This wine is made with a 'coupage' of grapes from the La Canoca plot, in the Riojan town of San Vicente de la Sonsierra. A farm located under a hill that protects it from inclement weather and with vines that are more than 50 years old. Preparation: Harvest carried out manually by experienced grape harvesters. Grapes transported to the winery in boxes of 14 kilos capacity. Manual selection of the clusters and, after destemming, another manual selection of the beans. Alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of between 18-25ºC in truncated conical French oak vats with a capacity of 10,000 liters. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels. Aging for 30 months in French oak barrels of 2 and 3 wines during which several rackings are carried out, as well as weekly fillings to make up for the losses that occur. Aged for 36 months in the bottle before marketing. Recommended service temperature: Between 16 and 18ºC.
