Total size sculpture including marble base: 24,0 x 24,4 x 16,0 cm Size of the marble base : 4,5 x 24,4 x 13,1 xm Weight : 6,6 kg. This sculpture, Caballo con Jinete Tropezando, is one of the sculptures from the original Clot Collection. The collection was modelled in wax by Salvador Dali in the 60's and 70's sitting by his pool in Port-Lligat. The Clot collection is known as the only 3 dimensional objects that can be described as original Dali, because he modelled the wax models himself and he was closely involved with their casting. In a signed contract between Dali and Isidro Clot a first limited Edition of 4 examples was agreed. One of these first edition examples is still in the permanent collection of 'the Dali museum' in St. Petersburg, Florida. This is number #3 of the edition of 4. First owned by Dali collector Don Ramón Cantero (see last picture) and later sold to another well known Spanish collector, José Luis Martin Berrocal. The sculpture is being sold including a recent (April 2023) authentication report by the Dali Archives - New York Reference: The hard and the Soft, Eccart, R&N Descharnes #469 (Clot collection described on page 158 up until page 196) The book is NOT included in the sale.
