Wines bought to a retired wine distributor of Haro, La Rioja, in 2011. Stored in a private cellar up to today. Exceptional storage conditions. Fully mature and therefore drinking well now, or cellar for the next 20-25 years years. Vintage 1955 was officially rated "Excellent" by the Regulatory Board of Rioja: the 4th time in the 20th century after 1934, 1948, 1952. This vintage was unanimously considered as one of the best vintages ever. Vinified in a big wooden vat from the founding time of the winery (1877) without temperature control, for 12 months and then racked to cask. Aged for 9 years. Racked 11 times, once every 6 months in the first years, using the traditional Riojan cask-to-cask method. Hand bottled directly from the barrel, bottle by bottle. Packed in a special wine box officially certified by UPS / DHL. Bottles are packed individually, one by one, and wrapped in a 3 layers bubble wrap.
