Vintage antique Victorian anno 1830, flower branch motif - Bangle - 18 kt. Silver, Yellow gold Diamond

Type of jewel: Vintage antique Victorian 18K goild bangle with diamond set silver flower branch motif Condition: In a good state, particularly considering the jewel's age. Country of origin: France and/or Belgium (see explanation below in the text) Style: Vintage antique Victorian Era: ca. 1830 Inspired by: Mother Nature Theme: Flower branch Material: 18K yellow gold and silver (touchstone tested) Technique: The rose cuts are set on foil. This is a ancient technique that was used to bring the lustre of the diamonds to its best quality. This is being done by placing in the closed mounting under the diamond a highly polished cone of silver foil. Extra information: This is what in our trade is called "a marriage". This means that parts of several jewels, somewhere in their life, where "married" together into this jewel. The top part could be from a jewel that is even older than the bangle. Diamond(s): 50 senaille and rose cuts. A senaille is a simplified rose cut diamond, a small diamond chip with perhaps a few polished facets. We do not have the weight of these diamonds which is normal in our trade when it comes to senailles or rose cuts. All diamonds in our vintage and antique jewellery are verified by the IJGC-lab to confirm whether they are natural or lab-grown. We do not offer any pieces with lab-grown diamonds. Thus, we assure that all diamonds in this jewel are 100% natural. Birth and month stones: Diamond is the birthstone (or month stone) for April. Hallmarks: The control mark here represents a horse’s head and was in use in Belgium from 1831 and in France from about 1838. Dimensions: The closure allows for the adjustment of the circumference between 17,00 cm (6,69 inch) and 18,20 cm (7,17 inch). Band width on top 3,80 cm (1,50 inch)- See picture with a ruler in cm and inches Weight: 41,00 gram (26,36 dwt) Adin reference Nº: 24086-0053 - Accompanied by a professional report of authenticity for your peace of mind. - Shipped insured and registered for your security, though you're most welcome to collect in person. - For shipments outside the EU, import duties and other charges may apply. We advise checking this in advance. - We invite you to browse through our customer feedback to discover the level of satisfaction we consistently provide. - See more of our products, visit: https://auction.catawiki.com/lotsfrom/Adin - Antique and vintage jewellery often undergoes thoughtful refurbishment, remodelling, or repairs to enhance its longevity and wearability. Such pieces frequently bear marks of this tender care. Furthermore, we present our antique and vintage jewellery in its authentic state, refraining from removing scratches or applying rhodium plating to white gold items. Our priority is to preserve the genuine allure and history of each piece. However, as the new owner, you have the option to take it to a local goldsmith for a cosmetic refresh, should you choose.
