This is a brass tsuba made in the Edo period. Tsuba is a type of ``sword fitting'' that is the exterior of a sword, and is a metal fitting that is sandwiched between the ``sheath'' and the ``blade.'' Takanikubori is a three-dimensional metal engraving technique, and this piece has a three-dimensional and very beautifully decorated dragon figure. It's a wonderful piece of work. Condition is good. Size: 6cm x 6.6cm x 1cm Weight: 126g
