Charming portrait depicting a girl in a white robe with light blue ribbons in a park.landscaoe with her Irish setter. This art work in executed in great detail by the famous Scottish artist James Archer 1823-1904 from Edinborough. The work is executed in oil on canvas which is later glued on a panel ( marouflage). It is signed and dated lower right with James Archers monogram and 1844. The work is placed in a hand carved antique oak frame with flower details. The actual painting measures 60 x 41 cm. Including the frame 74 x 58 cm. The painting is recently cleaned by a professional restorer and in good condition. Provenance: Private collection South Africa.
