In the case of Colheita Kopke, this story is unique. savor a wine is to taste history and, in the case of this Colheita, it is to remember remarkable events as the first human heart transplant performed by the South African surgeon Christiaan Barnard. WINEMAKING AND INTERNSHIP The manufacturing process includes stopping the fermentation of the must by adding brandy wine (benefit or brandy), the blending of wines and aging. Fermentation in presses with skin maceration and pumping over at a temperature of 29ºC until reaching Baumé desired, adding brandy at this stage. High quality wine from a single harvest. Aging in wood for variable periods of time, never less than 7 years, being later bottled according to market requests. TEST RESULTS Intense amber color with greenish reflections. Nose where the abundance of dried fruit stands out, with striking hints of hazelnut. In the mouth, its excellent structure imposes itself under an appetizing caramel and chocolate background. An impeccable wine with a superb taste and finish. RECOMMENDATIONS Ideal with walnut and almond cakes. Serve at a temperature between 12 and 14°C
