After the death of Kanzan, he studied under Taki Katei and mastered Nanga. He was involved in the establishment of the Bunten exhibition, and in later years was active mainly in the Japan Art Association. He also practiced tea ceremony and flower arrangement. Died in 1936 at the age of 69.

Murakami Izan (1867-1936)

Born in Kyoto in Keio 3.
His name is Yoshikazu, and nickname was Shishu.
The pseudonym is Kouro-Sanbo,Hakuhou-gabou.
