Rolex - Datejust - Tuxedo Dial - 116200 - Unisex - 2000-2010

Pre-owned Rolex Datejust 116200, in excellent conditions, with a silver and black dial called usually "Tuxedo" dial, full set. This 116200 is made entirely of steel, including bracelet and bezel. One of the biggest changes Rolex has made to their production base in recent years is their switch from 316L stainless steel to 904L. The ref. 1162XX series were the first Datejusts cast in the new metal. The reference 116200 is a 36mm watch. For many, 36mm is a relatively small watch (at least by modern standards), but the Datejust has always had an uncanny knack for shrugging off perceptions that apply to virtually all its competitors. A bit of its story: Rolex DateJust (inspired by Rolex Bubbleback) was first introduced in 1945 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Rolex. The Datejust is one of the earliest Rolex models that survives till today. From its debut way back in 1945, a revolutionary launch that put the brand firmly on the map, it has remained at the top of the company’s bestseller list for three quarters of a century. Rolex’s ref. 162XX series of Datejust watches first emerged in 1988, a replacement for the relatively short-lived ref. 160XX range. The Rolex Datejust reference 116200 was announced at Baselworld 2004.
