Crafted from substantial highly polished 18 karat solid gold, the earrings composes of two natural South Sea Keshi pearls measuring 11.44 x 10.13 x 8.8 mm and 11.49 x 9.8 x 8.2 mm. They are set on 18k solid gold posts with with extra-large 5 mm backs for added comforts. The posts have double indents for added security. Unlike cultured pearls, Keshi pearls are natural pearls that are found. These pearls, known as Keshi pearls, are natural pearls or a bi-product of the culturing process. During the process of making a cultured pearl, farmers sometimes find natural pearls. In other words, a Keshi pearl is identical to a natural pearl, except for the fact that the oyster was touched by human hands before the Keshi pearl was found. As such, they are amongst the rarest pearls in the world. The earrings are so gorgeous on the ears and very light in weight as Keshi pearls are not nucleated.
