Beautiful Set of West Germany Mid-Century Vases in Sgraffito Technique, which is a decorating pottery technique produced by applying layers of color or colors (underglazes or colored slips) to leather hard pottery and then scratching off parts of the layer to create contrasting images, patterns and texture and reveal the clay color underneath. Dümler & Breiden were one of the first manufacturers in 1950s to implement this technique in West Germany Ceramic Production.
