Alan Cooper - Landscape#4 - XL

#collectorscorner Based in Lymington, Hampshire, Alan has been a working graphic designer for over 30 years and also produces paintings, exploring the relationship between colours, line and perspectives. His interest is developing the area between representation and abstraction. This series of paintings is partly influenced by Richard Diebenkorn’s Ocean Park series and also by some of the work of Hans Hofmann and David Hockney. The palm tree icon used is to relate the paintings to landscape, contrasting with the abstract patterns below. The horizontal bands at the top finish the first perspective and below show an overhead perspective of an abstract landscape.
