Very fine porcelain incense burner designed with scattering plum made by Fujii Shumei藤井朱明. The market price of his incense burner works is very high. Artist: Fujii Shumei藤井朱明 Name: 天目梅散らし香炉 (Tenmoku plum scattering censer) Fujii Shumei - Born in Arita Town in 1936. From the age of 15, he worked at Akaeda and a ceramics company in the town. In 1962, his work ``Kanryu'' was selected for the Nitten Exhibition for the first time, and since then he has been selected 15 times. In 1963, he became independent as a brocade processing business, and in 1974 he opened Shumeigama朱明窯. He has won many awards, including the Japan Ceramic Art Exhibition, the Kyushu Yamaguchi Ceramics Exhibition Minister of Education Award, and the Japan New Crafts Exhibition Japan New Crafts Award. Using a technique that uses tree leaves for dyeing, it expresses the mental landscape of Arita in each season. He is a friend of the Nitten Association and a member of the Saga Art Association.
