I lived 7 years in scandinavia and nowadays I produce from a remote village in the south of europe, between the mountain and the Häkki means cage - the cage we all live in since our very first breath. It is about my journey to dismantle the system that confines us to what we are. What am I after the conceptions created by society, religion, politics? Häkki is my own mental cage, the one I try to destroy every time I grab the brushes to paint. It is my own visual memoir and wailing wall, the one I must conquer once and for all. I am an avid experimenter and observer, constantly trying to push my own boundaries and challenging traditional techniques. Combining an array of unconventional tools such as acrylics, oils, spray paint, crayons, and stationery to create a distinctive artistic signature that bridges the gap between traditional and contemporary art forms. Nature serves as my primary muse. The ever-changing seasons, the interplay of light and shadow, and enchanting landscapes of green find their way onto my canvases, evoking a sense of raw emotion and dynamism. The vivid colors and bold strokes reflect a deep connection with the environment and a desire to convey its inherent vitality.
